LIST OF RESTAURANTS AND SIGHTS

Restaurants and Bars :

• Blind Pig, 58 Poland Street, London W1F 7NR, England (Alice in Wonderland themed craft cocktail bar). The drink menu is drawn and written like a whimsical children's book, and the drinks were very clever. One of the drinks I had was called Poached Peach Pudding. 

• St. Stephen's Tavern, 10 Bridge St, Westminster, London SW1A 2JR, UK (iconic traditional English pub right across from Westminster, opened in 1875). Quaint space with original woodwork, we heard the royal wedding being played on the TV while eating crispy fish and chips. 

• The English Rose Café and Tea Shop, 4 Lower Grosvenor Pl, Westminster, London SW1W 0EJ, UK (adorable tea house). We wanted to do high tea, but did not want to fork over more than 100€ for some tea and snacks. So, we opted for a more casual option at this shop. We got the Sparkling Afternoon Tea for Two which included tea of your choice, a small bottle of Prosecco each, finger sandwiches, clotted cream, jam, scones, and cakes. 

• The Victoria 10A Strathearn Pl, London W2 2NH, UK (traditional pub that has hosted many famous people over the years). Originally, this pub opened as a beer house in the 1840s and has even hosted Charlie Chaplin! I had steak and mashed potatoes with a bearnaise sauce. 

• The Barrowboy & Banker 8 Borough High St, London SE1 9QQ, UK (former bank building turned into popular pub). Lovely restored interior with a sweeping staircase and equally impressive drinks and ale. 

• Ye Olde Cock Tavern 22 Fleet St, Holborn, London EC4Y 1AA, UK (pub from 1887). Apparently even Charles Dickens frequented this pub! We had beer and snacks only here because we had eaten so much at this point of the trip, haha. 

• Pig & Goose 213 Strand, London WC2R 1AP, UK. (traditional pub with classic fare). This place was extremely cozy, and we had the chance of sitting in an enclosed space away from the actual bar. I enjoyed roast beef with Yorkshire pudding. 

• Dandelyan 20 Upper Ground, South Bank, London SE1 9PD, UK (mixology bar with a botany theme). Do yourself a favor and sit at the actual bar where you can interact with the fun and knowledgable staff. You can choose from a beautifully printed menu with illustrations or you can tell the bartender what you like and they will make it custom! With its lush interiors and stunning view of the city, this is a must-do. 

• Lamb Tavern 10-12 Leadenhall Market,London, EC3V 1LR (restaurant and pub started in 1780). We ate in the restaurant on the second floor and were able to sit right next to the window overlooking the market center. It was wonderful for people watching and enjoying the architecture. I had bangers and mash!
